Bowen Method:The Bowen Method is a medically oriented modality that consists of a series of non-invasive moves performed at specific locations on the muscles of the body. These cross fiber moves allow the fascia of the muscle as well as the muscle fibers to relax, allowing the previously restricted blood flow to return to the tissue. The muscle itself returns to its normal state of tension and pressure is released from the body’s structure. This allows the return of normal structural alignment and releases pressure from nerves.
This method of body work is based on a technique developed by Thomas Ambrose Bowen, an Australian Osteopath. Mr. Bowen realized that when the structure of the body became misaligned, it is the muscles of the body pulling the structure out of alignment. He understood that it is the muscle that moves the bones, not the opposite. By releasing the tension in the muscles, the structure will often return to its normal position by itself with just a simple movement such as raising the legs while lying face up.
The Bowen Method is a unique and effective system of body balancing that can give lasting relief to conditions from back and leg pain to carpal tunnel syndrome and headaches.
Techno Vogue tables for Bowen method were created with the help of the teacher Mme Louise Tremblay. The standard table is beige with a very soft leatherette with table dimensions of 72 " x 30 " with a back and head rests.

Osteopathy : Osteopathy was invented in the US in the late 1874 by Dr Andrew Taylor Still, who believed that by treating the body manually, the body could be given the opportunity to function correctly and heal itself. Osteopathy focuses on correcting a variety of functional problems in the body, most notably in the musculoskeletal system. Osteopathic medicine is founded on the philosophy that all body systems are interrelated and dependent upon one another for good health. By correcting problems in the body's structure, through manipulative osteopathic treatment, the body's ability to function and to heal itself is greatly improved.

RPG - Global Postural re-education : REEDUCATION POSTURALE GLOBALE (RPG) is a revolutionary method for correcting pathologies in the skeletal muscle system. RPG was created by the french physiotherapist PHILIPPE EM. SOUCHARD, 15 years ago. RPG patients are required to actively participate in the therapy sessions. During a session, they work in their body, stretching the tense muscles while strengthening at the same time the weak muscles, following the chain that is causing the pain or deviation.RPG starts from the symptom to get at the cause of a skeletal muscle problem or pain because it considers that we all have our own ways for resisting and to reacting to injuries or traumas.
When a patient complains of acute pain in the shoulder just after an injury, the cause of that pain is clear and a local treatment will usually suffice. But another patient may have adopted a pattern of raising one shoulder in order to avoid putting too much weight on a sprained ankle on the opposite side. In this case, a chain of compensation probably began in the calf muscles, which increased their tonus to protect the ankle joint; this in turn resulted in an increased tonus of the hamstrings and of the erector spinae muscles and this culminated in a raised shoulder. If this shoulder was kept permanentelly in this position, the patient may end up with a scapular pain. Of course, the Physical Therapist ( PT) cannot expect the patient to connect his present shoulder pain to a past event. Only by using the RPG method can the PT establish that connection between the symptom (the shoulder pain) and cause of the problem (the retraction of muscular chains following an ankle sprain).
Techno Vogue developed the OPUS VII Electric RPG table with Monsieur Philippe Souchard, who has trained many RPGists in Canada, France, Italy, Brazil, Spain and other countries. The table was made to his specifications and is the standard table for RPG treatments in North America. The classical RPG table and its special matress was developed in early 1991 and has been a standard ever since for this type of treatments. Combination tables to perform RPG and Osteopathy have also been commercialized for the last two decades.

The McKenzie Method: This method was developed in the 1960’s by Robin McKenzie, a physical therapist in New Zealand. In his practice, he noted that extending the spine could provide significant pain relief to certain patients and allow them to return to their normal daily activities. With the McKenzie approach, physical therapy and exercise used to extend the spine can help "centralize" the patient’s pain by moving it away from the extremities (leg or arm) to the back. Back pain is usually better tolerated than leg pain or arm pain, and the theory of the approach is that centralizing the pain allows the source of the pain to be treated rather than the symptoms.
A central tenet of the McKenzie Method is that self-healing and self-treatment are important for the patient’s pain relief and rehabilitation. No passive modalities—such as heat, cold, ultrasound, medicine or needles—are used in the treatment.

The Bobath Approach : The Bobath approach to the management of children with cerebral palsy was pioneered and developed by Dr Karel and Mrs Berta Bobath. Begun in the 1940's the Bobath Concept is now well known and accepted in many countries as one of the leading approaches.The main aim of treatment is to encourage and increase the child's ability to move and function in as normal a way as possible. More normal movements cannot be obtained if the child stays in a few positions and moves in a limited or disordered way. The aim of management is to help the child to change his abnormal postures and movements so that he or she is able to comfortably adapt to the environment and develop a better quality of functional skills.

Massage : Massage is a popular therapy used to relieve muscle tension, spasms, inflammation, fluid retention, aches, stiffness, and pain. Other benefits include improved circulation (blood and lymph), general flexibility, range of motion, and increased tissue elasticity (e.g. scar tissue).During treatment, the physical therapist may include localized massage (e.g. low back or neck) as a prelude to exercise. Massage increases circulation and warms muscles and other soft tissues (e.g. tendons, ligaments). Other types of massage include full-body massage, which often leaves the patient feeling relaxed and free of anxiety. As the therapist uses their hands or specialized tools to rhythmically knead, rub, and stroke (effluerage) muscles, circulation is stimulated. Blood flow delivers oxygen and nutrients, and is key to helping muscles eliminate waste products such as lactic acid that may collect in muscles from spasms causing pain.
